I had a wonderful stay at this historic hotel filled with character, tucked away in the heart of Tours. The kind owner really made my experience special, especially when he went out of his way to help me retrieve my glasses. The rooms are cozy but come with narrow stairs, which might not be ideal for everyone. I loved being close to the cathedral and also found some great restaurants nearby.

I appreciated the owner’s kindness—he went above and beyond when I left my glasses behind, mailing them back to me without hesitation. Although there’s no lift, due to the hotel’s age, the experience felt unique compared to bland modern hotels. The location is excellent for exploring nearby chateaus and has ample dining options, though the stairs may not be suited for those with mobility issues.
